You are my sunshine...A PRINTABLE! For Berlitz

You are my sunshine
my only sunshine
You make me happy
when skies are grey
You'll never know dear
how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away

I can never hear this without thinking of our wonderful friends, David & Berlitz.  Some of the best friends you could have I'd say.  

I met Berlitz & David in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico back in 2001 when our guys were stationed there.  We started dating and got hitched around the same time.  We went our separate ways when the guys got orders, but thankfully were stationed together again a few years later in Puerto Rico.  This time in San Juan.  

I thank God {and the U.S. Coast Guard} all the time for bringing us back together.  It was because of Berlitz that I survived the first months of motherhood after giving birth to Mia in August of 2008.  She showed me the in's and out's of being a good mami.  Berlitz was already one of the best mami's ever to beautiful Sofia.  She took Mia and I on our first official outing to the mall {and reminded me I had to change Mia's diaper after a couple hours of shopping~OMG} where we bought Mia's first jeans.  She was the only one I trusted with Mia {my family lived on the other side of the island} when I had to drill for the first time {I'm a USCG Reservist myself}.  Berlitz had to spoon feed Mia my breast milk because Mia wanted NOTHING to do with a bottle.  

That is an amazing friend right there!  

Thank you Berlitz for being there for me when I needed you oh, so much!

  1. WOW! I feel so proud to call you my friend, my heart leaps when you make me feel so special and loved. No matter where or how far we are the bond we have is unbreakable. I love you my friend, you are also a wonderful mama and I was ooh so at ease leaving my baby at your care also! God bless you Mel and God bless your family!     These are so adorable! I am having a baby shower for my sister in law and her nursery theme is "you are my sunshine" Thank you so much for these. When I print these off, do they have to be a certain size to come out right?

    1. Sorry it took me so long to respond. We moved July and are now BACK to Florida and I'm back to blogging again. Did you ever print them out? If so, how did they turn out? They are meant to print out 5x7 or 8x10. Glad you liked them.
